Why 'Bir Arada'?
Why do people come together?

Every community shares the same quest: to connect with a place where we are seen, find meaning, and can sustain our existence. Communities can emerge in many different spaces and contexts, from schools to workplaces, public spaces to digital platforms. However, at the heart of all of them lies the human need for “togetherness.”

The cities we live in, the environments we migrate to for education or work, are sometimes familiar, sometimes uncertain. Even in the places we feel most at home, our thoughts and feelings can drift, pulling us into an invisible loneliness. In such moments, a single question grows within us: “Who am I, and does it matter?”
People often find the answer to this question in the relationships they build with others. Our stories, our efforts, and our experiences are reshaped within communities; our identity gains strength there, transforms, and finds its footing.

We exist precisely for this reason.
